Since I can't submit my review without giving them an automatic star, I'm giving them 0 stars. Since when do businesses receive an automatically inflated review for being an inconsiderate, disrespectful, condescending, irresponsible, rude and lack of compassionate/ care for a customer whether they wanted atlas to do a job for them or not? Actions speak louder than words and this rings true for the inaction as well. Don't worry, we received the message loud and clear without the 'business' expressing or taking the time to actually return our phone calls to apologize or accepting responsibility for ruining our newly planted ginkgo tree that costs upwards of $150 by offering to pay for a new tree. I spent a year caring, nursing, watering, fertilizing and covering/shoveling snow to avoid it being buried in the snow. the tree during the winter so even if they offered to pay for a brand new tree, it wouldn't be able to compensate for a whole year of labor that's required in order for the tree to grow. Instead of communicating with us by giving us the heads up that the tree needed to be moved, they chose inaction and impatience by not informing us at all. This could have been avoided even if they didn't inform us to move the tree by backing up the cement truck at a diagonal angle up the approach of the neighbors driveway (which they would've had no problems allowing it to happen) to pour the cement with plenty of room to maneuver and pour without having to extend the sliding tray. But instead of doing that, they chose to back right over the ginkgo tree that had a metal tomato cage around it and a stake driven into the ground next to the base for stability ensuring the tree is upright and grows straight up. Realistically, they didn't even have to use the neighbor's approach as there was plenty of room to back up on either side of the tree to avoid damaging it. "The crew at Atlas Concrete Construction, LLC takes pride in every step of the process & it shows!" They didn't mention what they take great pride in and now I know that they only care about themselves and cutting time while raking in the profits even if it means damaging people's yards and creating extra costs for the homeowner whether its personally or monetarily. Bear in mind, I never asked for this toilet bowl of a company to perform the work and i'm sure there was a sweetheart deal made amongst the city and atlas reaping massive profits at the expense of the taxpayer. It should go without saying that atlas should do a better job all around, but that would be a massive understatement. Let this be a warning that any business that values quantity over quality doesn't deserve anyone's business.
