I had several quotes for driveway crack fill and seal. Eau Claire Sealcoat consistently delivered a professional detailed quote and performed the service on time. The quality of their work is very high. The cleaning of the driveway was performed meticulously, cracks were routed, the driveway again cleaned a second time. The crack fill was double-checked and even with the surface prepped for future snow removal. The sealcoating was manually applied around my concrete and at least triple coated for thickness. I highly recommend Eau Claire Sealcoat for professionalism and high quality of results. They were a pleasure to deal with for my driveway needs.

I have updated this review and given 4 stars instead of my original 1. The year following my not-so-great sealcoat job, the owner called me and offered to redo it for free. I am not sure if this was because of my initial emails or seeing my review. The second job was much better and they apparently switched to using a better product that adhered better. I did have to instruct the crew to broom the entire surface though as was my original wish. The coating has been on another year now and is holding up much better than the original. For context, below is my original 1-star review. A few years ago when I had my driveway sealcoated the first time (by a different company) I saw that they only used brooms in certain areas and, as a result, the sealcoat failed in the non-broomed areas much faster than I was expecting. When I went to seek a new sealcoat company in 2022, I saw how Eau Claire Sealcoat’s website stated that “Proper cleaning must take place in order to prepare the asphalt for sealing” and that they “use wire brushes or power brooms with heavy wire heads will properly break up this debris helping to ensure your project looks fantastic”. Before I accepted the bid, I emailed the owner to confirm that “you will somehow sweep the entire driveway” and even added that “the one I had done two years ago did not and it did not last long”. Jamie’s response was “We use high velocity blowers and wire brooms to clean the driveway”. When they actually came out, they only swept certain areas and within weeks I started to see failure. I contacted Jamie again to alert him/her that the guys did not sweep the entire driveway as I had expected and I was starting to see signs of poor adhesion. He/She said they would come out to look but never did. Now, after less than 1 year, the sealcoat is failing in numerous area. Earlier in the year I had sealed all the cracks in the driveway with Crack Stix and was very happy with the result, so even though the bid from Eau Claire Sealcoat (which was done remotely without a site visit) included costs for routing, blowing and filling all cracks, I accepted the cost (which was higher than other bids) because I thought I was going to get superior surface prep. Obviously none of the cracks needed any routing or filling, but rather than just leaving them well enough alone, they applied their gloopy sealer on the top of my crack filler (they use the kind that gets squishy in the sun). These only served to cause snag points all winter when I was shoveling or snow blowing. Now these areas are starting to peel also. So all in all, the costs were high, the promises were not met, the results were sub-par, and I would not suggest you use this company.
