We had several trees and stumps removed. They were professional, curious and on time. They cleaned up everything in the yard where they worked as well as in the street where they chopped everything up. They were able to get the tress removed sooner than they originally quoted. They did a fantastic job, and I would use them again.

This is a great landscape company, they work hard and get the job done efficiently. No projects too big or too small. A company that responds to your calls and questions. Great service im happy!!!!

General note about the 2 phase project is that it was a pretty small job that probably didn't bring in too much income for a company as large as Barnes is. They didn't hesitate to take the job. Coordinated 2 phases of a landscaping project. Upon completion of Phase 1, remove the Yews, we moved to phase 2, rockscaping. Bridget coordinated both phases. I sent her the below message after phase 2 was completed. The team you sent over this morning to Rockscape the north and east sides of my home did an outstanding job! The weather changed dramatically (cold/hot rain/wind) from beginning to end, but they held their own, even as light rain fell for a while. I expected to be satisfied with the final result, but I'm happy to say it is more like ecstatic, with the results now that everything has been cleaned up. It looks so incredible, organized, kept, AND I'll never have to trim those dang Yews again! Fall cleanup will go much quicker now that the hastas on the side of my house aren't surrounded by that snow on the mountain ground cover and WEEDS! Critters will have fewer places to hide from birds of prey and hopefully STOP building tunnels along the foundation of my home, or or in my window wells. As your team worked, you could tell they're close as they laughed often...If I had been doing the work myself, a number of expletives would no doubt have been dropped, AND, it would have taken weeks or months whereas your team got everything done in less than a day! Great work! If we weren't in this pandemic, I'd have asked you all to join me for a celebratory adult beverage in the backyard. Another time! Thanks everyone - you're a well oiled machine!

Kind and considerate employees. I lost my office key on a walk and was retracing my steps multiple times when one of your employees noticed me. He stopped his riding mower, got off, and asked if I was looking for something. He had found my key! I greatly appreciate his attention to detail and helpful attitude. Thank you for making my day much easier! The lawn looked amazing too!

If I could give zero or negative ratings to Barnes, I would. This is a company which inflates both their actual working hours and the hourly rate. It exploits customers through misleading communication. I will let the photos speak. Barnes removed the broken tree limb which fell into our neighbor's yard. You can see the moderate size of the tree limb from the before and after photos. It was shocking that Barnes billed us almost $4000 for a job of this scope. Apparently, this job took a 3-man crew nearly 8 hours to complete, and Barnes generously charges its customers $175 per worker per hour. So the accounting goes as 3 men * 7.56 hours * $175/worker/hour = $3,969, plus tax. In addition, Barnes charges the same hourly rate per worker for travel as well. The tree limb fell into our neighbor's yard during the storm on May 21. Barnes had a crew working on our neighbor's landscaping project at that time. One of their workers approached us and offered to remove the tree limb. My husband talked with the manager on the phone and was told that it would take about 5 hours at $175 per hour. We thought the price ($875 ~ $1,000) was fair so we gave the green light. We learned our lesson the hard way not to ever work with Barnes ever again when we received the $4,000 bill in the mail.
