We recently hired Herman Landscape Services to rebuild an improperly built retaining wall (by a different company) and couldn't have been more pleased with the process and end result. I contacted them via email and Elizabeth responded in a timely fashion to get an estimate scheduled. Jeff showed up right on time to take a look at the project and I was emailed a quote within a week. We had to get the rebuild done correctly this time so I had a few questions as to how the wall would be built and Elizabeth answered them all completely and in a timely fashion. When we decided to hire them, I had a contract in hand a couple days later. After returning the signed contract and deposit, Elizabeth let me know they received it and our project was scheduled to be completed in about a month or so. A couple weeks later I got an email saying that they will be at our property in a couple days to do the work (a couple weeks early). Brian (foreman) and Dave showed up on time on the day of the project. Brian looked over the project with me for a few minutes to confirm what will be done and they went to work. They completely dissembled the wall, chiseled and grinded the existing stones to fit much tighter, rebuilt the wall, added stone/drainage behind the wall, and reseeded and strawed the area that was damaged by the bobcat. Attached are the before (with green grass) and after (straw). From the very beginning to the end the process was great. I really appreciated Elizabeth's timely and informative responses, Jeff showing up as scheduled for the estimate, and the great work Brian and Dave did on the wall! As they were leaving, I asked them to quote out two more projects and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Got a great limestone block retaining wall for a reasonable price. Work team was really good, and the mini-bobcat driver was great. They had to navigate a narrow path around our septic tank and house to build the wall the in back. Looks even better, after a full year.

I have used Herman multiple times now, the first was to landscape my back yard, including design, reshaping of the lot to slope away from the house, and divert water around the home. They did a fantastic job, on time, and their products were top notch. I have also now had about 15 trees installed by them, and all are excellent and doing fantastic. Just can't say enough about them. I did also reach out to another company to see how they were just to compare, they were slow but came up with a great design, however they were almost 3 times more expensive and were never able to deliver. I fired them and went right back to Herman. I will never use anyone else again.

Herman did some great work for us at the best price. We had an old crumbling stone retaining wall removed and replaced with a block system. They went above and beyond and mulched in the newly formed bed for us.

Out for a Service Call for our contracting business in the snow storm Saturday morning when my Van would not go up a hill due to the ice on the road. Slipped down the hill and blocked the driveway of one of the homes nearby (it was Herman Landscape Services) Two trucks passed by without offering to assist, then one of Herman Landscape's employees who was out plowing snow stopped to see if he could help. He said he would get a tow rope and help get me up the hill so I could return home. He promptly returned, was able to get me up the hill and on my way. He refused any compensation for his help, genuinely happy to assist. This was a wonderful kindness. Thank you for having employees who care about others. We are certain his actions are reflected throughout your company's business practices. Again, we are truly grateful - THANKS!!
