We needed complete draintile replacement throughout the perimeter of our basement—a huge job. Dion was an outstanding foreman! He was very patient with us and our many questions. He kept us updated throughout the whole process. Four days of backbreaking work for him and his crew, and he always had a smile. They prepped the worksite well beforehand and cleaned up afterward. I highly recommend Accurate and would suggest requesting Dion.

Accurate worked on our basement in 2011, we were 100% satisfied. They braced one wall and redid our drain tiles. I recently contacted Accurate again as we were concerned about a different basement wall with cracking plaster. Was the wall shifting and thus cracking the plaster? After sending an email, I was contacted in a couple of days and put back in touch with Paul Vaccaro with whom we worked in 2011. After a very thorough inspection Paul determined that the wall had shifted some but not to the point where it needed bracing. He recommended a water diversion project that I could do on the outside to protect the wall. I was just as impressed with Paul’s recent evaluation as I was several years ago. He is knowledgeable, straight forward and thorough. He is exceptional at providing explanations that homeowners can understand. I was Paul’s last appointment for the day. He took the time to answer all of my questions and never seemed rushed. I wish everyone I worked with on home issues was like Paul!

We had water getting in our basement due to the foundation. Brian L. from this Company was absolutely fantastic. He was in constant communication with us and explained in great deal what Accurate could do for us to stop water from getting in the basement. Very fair quote. Followed through with all concerns and questions we had. The crew was awesome! They keept us informed on each step. They had one crew in the basement and one crew outside. They worked wonderful together. Very professional. They were also very clean, and to our surprise, they got the job done in 1 day! Definitely recommend this company for any foundation issues!!

Paul Vaccaro from Accurate was the last of 6 basement repair specialist to give an assessment of my basement walls, and he was by far the best in analyzing the structure and its condition. Paul came out to give me assessment of my wet wall issue which occurred during our 100 year rain storm of Aug 8th. I called Accurate since they had installed support columns based on an engineering report the previous homeowner had performed in 2015. It took nearly 3 months for Accurate to get back to me, but it was definitely worth the wait. For starters, Paul was very informative and thorough in his analysis of my basements structure. 1. Measured moisture content readings at multiple points on all sections of my basement wall. 2. Measured whether the walls were plumb, 3. Checked if the basement sill was wet and/or rotted. 4. Checked the condition of the still insulation. 5. Explained how my drain tile system worked and how basement construction has changed over the past 150 years. In the end, I appreciated Paul’s advice which was to have the patio repitched to move water away from the basement walls and to forgo any unneeded wall bracing or outside excavation and waterproofing, which was suggested in part by the other 5 basement repair specialists. The various quotes ranged from $0.00 to $26,000 ($0.00 $2,000 $8,900 $14,000 $17,000 $26,000) I strongly recommend you reach out to Accurate and Paul Vaccaro for his advice on your basement wall issues.

I do not recommend Accurate Basement Repair and would avoid working with them if you can. They installed a sump pump/drain tile and put up some support beams. Here are some of the issues we had with our experience: - A beam was put in front of one of our basement windows when it could’ve been spaced differently and put next to the window. Another beam was welded to stick out and go around duct work which could’ve been moved. I wish they had told us they were going to do it this way or discussed options with us so that we could have figured out a different solution. It will be much harder for us to refinish our basement nicely around those two beams. - They had to take out the bottom three steps to install the drain tile. When they came to rebuild those steps, the bottom piece wasn’t reattached and the treads were not secured properly causing them to drop down about an inch when you walk on them. It took over a month of reaching out to them about this issue before they came back to take a look. They ended up putting in a couple shims that fell out shortly after they left, and didn’t actually fix the issue so the stairs are still unstable as you can see in the picture. After reaching out to them again several times without a response on this issue, and after 5 months of living with the stairs this way, we were finally told they will not be coming back to fix it and we will have to do it ourselves (we were planning to already at this point because we don’t trust them to do it right). We have to walk down these stairs regularly to do laundry, and my wife has to carry our baby and/or toddler with her, so it is even more unacceptable for it to be left as such a hazard. - When coming to rebuild the steps, they had to reschedule, told us the new time morning of, then threatened to a $150 repeat trip charge when he was waiting 20 minutes because they didn’t notify my wife he was here, which they said they would. She let him in right away once they notified her he was there. - The dryer was hooked back up to the wrong vent pipe and fell off the same day he put it up, which we just fixed ourselves - Unprofessional behavior including excessive swearing while working (in front of us and in ear shot of our 2 year old) - Miscommunication on the company’s part about various things that the crew seemed frustrated about - A lot of sloppy work, moving things around and not putting them back, and messes left behind for us to clean up
