Hired Dawsy to replace sidewalk along my house as well as the front walk to my house. Came by to get a deposit in May with a start date of May 28th.. Never showed up. Claimed he had a medical issue and would do it as soon as he could.. After silence of a few weeks I asked of he could get the job done, if not to refund my deposit and I would fine someone who could. He sent me a response right away and said deposits are not refundable. A few weeks later he said he would be able to do the work midweek around July 9th and once again no show and complete silence... Time to consider this a breach of contract and get me deposit back one way or another.

Haven't heard a peep from Dawson since June 9th. He said he was a bit behind due to some medical issues. Ok understandable. I'll be patient and give you some time. I texted if he had an ETA on starting our project June 27th and no reply. Sent a Facebook message for an ETA on July 1st and no reply. Our contract states "Start date is when frost comes outta the ground and weight limits are lifted off roads".....in hindsight looking at the contract does look like a scam because it's so poorly written. I can't tell if I've been forgotten about or he took my deposit money and ghosted. Project was planned and deposit made March 7th. Communication was just fine back then so Idk what happened.

Dawsy Concrete did a great job for us in 2024. Hired him again for a bigger job in 2025 and it's been a complete nightmare. Paid him a deposit in July, he demolished the existing stairs in August, and has been MIA since. It's now October and we have no front entry way into our home and are out a $2k deposit. Says he's coming to finish, has plenty of time to set concrete, but we are left with a disaster for front steps. Says he's out doing other jobs but will resume "tomorrow" or "on Monday." Weeks have gone by and other contractors advise pouring and stamping in October and not pouring when temps drop too low at night due to curing concerns and concrete longevity. If Dawson resumes communication and finishes the job he started 3 months ago I'll consider revising my review. In the meantime, I've scheduled another contractor to complete the job he started and made them fully aware that Dawsy Concrete has to mid October to finish then the job is theirs. There's a pattern of Dawsy taking deposits in 2025 and not finishing according to other customers on Google. Let the buyer beware and proceed with caution.

Does not pay bills. Rents equipment without paying. Be careful when you hire. Could end up with a lien on your property.
