MASTERPIECE! This was a complex restoration of all components of the porches and decking at my historic home. The project wasn't just cosmetic, but also structural. Tim & Rusty took the time to work with the Historic Preservation Commission to make sure that all details and materials were approved per HPC guidelines. This was not just a repair, but a complete rebuild of a structure that was crumbling and rotting away. Through their craftmanship & engineering custom pieces, they brought it back to life in a magnificent way. Also, every call was returned, every question answered and they came in on budget. Rusty and Tim remodeled a small three-season porch for us and did a fantastic job. The work included installation of new windows and a new door, repair and insulation of wall and ceiling, tongue and groove installation of pine on ceiling and wall. They discussed various options with us and gave us a detailed estimate. When unexpected issues arose—as always happens when you start working on an old house— they addressed them with us immediately and made appropriate adjustments. Their work was top notch. I contracted Can-Do-Repairs to replace my front porch. Rusty and Tim were easy to work with from planning and scheduling, obtaining a permit, and were flexible with design ideas. Their pricing is extremely fair and the workmanship is top notch. The before and after photos speak for themselves. I hope to work with them again on future projects.

Can-Do-Remodeling installed a custom side door on my older detached garage and replaced some rotting siding. Thank you for your carpentry skills and adding some years to the life span of my garage. I was very happy with the repair.

Buyer beware. They take a deposit and provide an estimated completion timeframe—but when they miss it, the response is simply, “that’s how contracting works.” What’s most frustrating is the lack of accountability for how repeated delays and last-minute changes impact your life. In one instance, they were scheduled to come but never communicated a time. When I reached out the night before, I was told, “I sent you an email.” No email was ever sent, which was later blamed on an issue with their email system. It would have been nice to know beforehand so I didn’t have to rearrange my work schedule or scramble to find dog daycare. Be very clear about the deposit terms: if you need to make a change to the project, the entire deposit is forfeited, rather than applying a portion of it to work already completed. Meanwhile, if they can’t stick to their own timeline—a job estimated at two days that ended up a month late—you’re expected to simply accept it.
