Buyer BEWARE and do your homework, We just received a certified letter from the concrete supplier that was unpaid from Hyland Concrete. We paid Hyland Concrete in full and now a year and a half later we have to pay for materials or face a lien against our property!! Gee Thanks Barry Hyland! You have no business being in business if that is how you treat customers. I would rate a big fat zero for professionalism!!

Requested a small concrete slab with stairs. Job should have taken at most 2 days. Over 1 month later the job is still not done. We had to call him constantly to ask when he was going to get started. The list of excuses was long-In process of divorce, no childcare, no employees to work, not my fault it was a problem with an employee...He never took responsibility for his poor work or poor management. When he did get around to doing the job, he got it wrong. It was nothing like what we had agreed to. We decided we would accept what he did just to get the job done. It's still not done!! He just walked off the job!! He never called to say when he would be back-nothing. He even left some equipment here. There is a wood board stuck in the concrete that he couldn't get out. Spikes and nails are everywhere as well as chunks of concrete. He tore up our yard with his equipment and said that he would clean everything up. We now have to go to court to get our money back plus recoup costs of having another contractor redo the entire job. Barry will promise you the moon but you will end up with regrets and court costs. Buyer beware!

The last week of April my husband and I had a patio installed, the patio did turn out nice. However, we found cigarette butts all over the yard which I felt was very unprofessional. What bothered me even more, is that Barry stated he would be returning as soon as his dump truck was back up and running to bring fill dirt. I have been checking in with him for the past month. He ignored my first messaged, after my second message apologized for not responding as he "thought he did" Then said he called someone to come and bring it, the 3rd message he stated he would bring fill dirt that week as he was in the area. Today, yelled at me stating "I SAID I WOULD BRING IT AS A NICE GESTURE!"; which was not the case, he stated right away he would be bringing it when the dump truck was running. I am very upset that we have been waiting for him to complete this and now he will not be completing our project anyway. Very unprofessional. Absolutely do not recommend.

I hired them to do a patio and sidewalk .. They made a mess of my yard plus pulled out a electric power on my lamp post and drank beer on the job .. NEVER would I recommend them cost me 1000.00 more dollars to fix the mess...
