Asphalt of Duluth

They came out, did some measurements and gave us a quote quickly. I knew it was a fair price so I signed on the spot. The driveway was done a few days later. Excellent job in less than 8 hours.

This is the second driveway I had AOD take care of (two different houses). For this one, they met me on site to discuss my needs very thoroughly, and were flexible with finances due to a construction timeline. Upon site prep, some changes based on the road construction altered our design, which they identified and worked with us promptly to get a design that worked well. Unfortunately, a big rainfall eroded some of the prep. They were willing to come out same day to fix it if I needed, but we opted to wait a bit just incase further rainfall came. When the final installation came, they worked swiftly, did a great job, left the site very tidy, and were very respectful of the house and property. They were exceptionally responsive each step of the way, patient with my schedules, flexible with changing conditions, and a great value for the price. I've already passed on the personal recommendation to others to call them when they need this done and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again if the need should arise.

Thank you so much to Asphalt of Duluth workers. While I was shoveling my car out from the first snow this year I was passed by many plow trucks who didn't even make I contact with me let alone offer to help. Dallas took ten minutes out of his day and helped me move the big stuff around. This saved me hours of work for little cost. I am very thankful for the help he provided especially after being passed by multiple others trucks that didn't even look at me. Thank you Asphalt of Duluth and Thank you Dallas.

We made an initial down payment for our driveway on 5/24, work partially done 8/16 after many unanswered calls and emails. Driveway was not leveled properly so we had two huge puddles in our walk area deep enough that we used them to clean our shoes. The crew acknowledged the problems and committed to return and fix both areas in 2 weeks. We received the bill, and I called to state I will not pay until work completed. We received a 2nd bill marked past due and I again called. My call was not answered, message not returned. I finally sent a very firm email demanding a fix before I would pay the remaining bill. On 10/28, the crew finally returned to "fix" the problem. We now have 2 large patches in our brand new $8000 asphalt job, PLUS, an added bonus of a trench they dug in the new asphalt to drain the water to the side when it rains. Not really our idea of a job well done. I would attach a photo if I could, but don't see the option. I will let you decide how many stars to rate this company.
