Save yourself some aggravation and hire a different contractor. A signed contract isn't worth the paper it's written on with this company. Did not do some of the things that we agreed to and wanted more money to do them. Now we have to pay someone else to do what they didn't do.

I had some excavation scheduled to be done before snowfall. The time had passed with no contact. I was able to finally get a hold of them a week later. Owner blamed the missed window on Covid, and then explained to me the cost was going to go up because now we were closer to frost. After an actual lengthy conversation, the owner had then told me they were on another job instead of mine, but still insisted on more money, and more waiting. I'm sorry, but saying one thing and doing another is bad business. Furthermore, I had the work done by another company, that showed up ahead of schedule, didn't make excuses for not showing up, didn't want more money to even start or compete the work, and was cheaper at completion. I cannot recommend this company, they can't be trusted.

After paying 2/3 of contract cost I was told the project would cost almost a third more. Subcontracted out the work, did not use agreed-upon materials but instead use cheaper ones, refused to give me the original receipts and labor costs and refund for the work not completed.
