Working with Munson to restore 2 tennis courts from complete disrepair was a great experience from start to finish. They were very helpful with quick responses to all my questions along the way and worked with us closely to get a finished product that exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Munson!

Earl did a great job making sure this was done well. It was more complicated than it looks as there were HEAVY old concrete chunks that had to be broken up and taken away. Lastly, our back ramp had weeds and grass growing through all the cracks. Couldn't get rid of 'em with weed whacking and Roundup for years. The seal coat burned them to oblivion. The lot looks new again.

We needed a sinkhole fixed at our church. The work was acceptable, but the bill was 10 times more than the quote we got over the phone. Since I’m on the church board and retired, I said I’d go there to get an itemized bill, including prices for everything. Another board member and I went, and we informed there was no one to talk to us. I felt the tone was very condescending and rude. We left our phone numbers and asked for a call back. We heard nothing, and no one returned our numerous calls to them. We were informed over and over that they didn’t include prices on the itemized bill. This doesn’t seem like a good business practice. We’ll never know why the bill was 10 times more than the estimated quote, because they served us with court papers. We folded, because it didn’t seem worth it. Their lawyer seemed well-versed in their jargon and, again, saw no reason why we needed to know individualized costs. Between that and the rude and condescending attitudes of the staff, you can be sure we will never even think of using Munson again, and will be happy to give our opinion to anyone who asks if we recommend this business. September 28, 2025 1) I did not sign the contract. That was a different board member. I took it upon myself to try to talk to someone, especially since we received the final bill 10 days after it was due. The first any of us knew of the total cost was when we received the bill, which, again, was 10 days after the due date. 2) Several of us tried in person and on the phone to have a conversation. We wanted to sit down and have a face-to-face to figure out where the communication went wrong. We wanted to feel like we were heard. 3) We were dismissed abruptly, rather than being given the opportunity to be heard. There was also a mention of outsourcing during one of our visits, which was a surprise to us, and not on the bill. 4) This review seems to have turned into the conversation we wish we could have had with someone in person. I have a better understanding of how the communication was misinterpreted on both sides. Instead, my personal interaction left my board members and me feeling like we were treated rudely and disrespected. 5) I stand by my review. Any contractor I’ve ever worked with has given an itemized bill and answered any questions I’ve had on the bill.

If I could give Munson a negative number as a review, I would. They pulled the classic bait and switch on us. When the bill came after their work was done, it was exponentially more than the estimate they gave over the phone to repair a fairly small sink hole - $16,000!!! More than $10,000 higher than any estimate from any other company. They did not respond to numerous requests for an itemized bill. They did not respond to phone calls, emails, or even personal visits to their office as we attempted to get this situation clarified and resolved. Instead, they waited for several months and sued us. We had to pay this exorbitant fee for a minimal amount of work so as not to rack up legal fees. Stay away from Munson!! 9/25/25 And I stand by my review. To this date we have not ever received an itemized bill. No explanation for why the repair cost was so high. NO response to months of phone calls, emails, and personal visits to the office. We spent hours trying to get an explanation. When you run a business, you should be willing to discuss such things face to face, not ignore your customers. You make it sound like we ignored your bill. Not true. We made every effort to resolve this and to receive some sort of explanation. An itemized bill for our own staff to review should not be too much to ask.
