Summerset came recommended to me.  I gave them a call and we immediately set up a time for us to meet.  We met with John J and he couldn't have been more helpful in fully explaining all the piers that were available.  Soon, after seeing all the options we decided on a permanent pier.  The whole process was fast and easy.  They came out to our property, did the measurements, came up with a plan.  I agreed, signed the paperwork and within a few weeks the guys were  out on the lake installing our new pier.  Mind you, the weather conditions were windy and it was snowing.  These guys were determined to get the job done.  Took just a few days and we LOVE the clean look of this pier.  I was so pleased with Summerset that I also inquired about a new lift.  Summerset was happy to suggest what we needed and put together a plan.  Within a few weeks, we had our old lift removed and and a new lift installed.  They even helped me advertise and sell my old wooden pier.  When I inquired about having the old pier removed from my shoreline, Summerset agreed to help me transport the pier to the boat launch for my new buyer.  Everything went smoothy and I couldn’t be happier with the service we received.  John J was exceptional in communicating with us via phone and text to get the job done!  I would highly recommend Summerset!

We had the pleasure of working with Travis and the Summerset team to install a lifetime pier on our property along the Yahara River in Madison/Monona, and the experience was fantastic. Summerset provided us with a wide range of pier options and took the time to explain the pros and cons of each. This included multiple appointments and a visit to their showroom on Madison's Northside, where we felt fully supported in making the best decision for our needs. Given our riverfront location, we chose the lifetime pier option. It’s perfect for us since it doesn’t need to be removed during the winter, and we won’t have to worry about ice causing damage. We’re thrilled with this durable solution! Over the course of a week, the Summerset crew installed the steel beams that make our pier ready for all seasons. It was fascinating to watch their work in action. The team was friendly, efficient, and professional throughout the process. Overall, we’re incredibly happy with our decision to work with Summerset. This partnership is just beginning, as we have future projects, and we’re excited about what’s to come. We highly recommend Summerset to anyone considering pier installation!

I bought a used lift in May of 2025. The salesman told me everything was in good working order. After the first rain I discovered the canopy cover was leaking. The replacement salesman responded that canopy covers are not meant to keep the boat dry and I should park it in the sun to dry it out. They have decided to ignore my requests to work together to get a replacement cover. Very disappointed after dealing with a great delivery guy.

I put a deposit down on a lift in December so they could "place the order" - when June of the following year came around they didn't have it. They asked me to take a smaller lift or said I wouldn't get one at all. They didn't show up after multiple promises to do so. When the foreman showed up 2 weeks after the initial install promise date, he was a 19 year old kid who had never installed a lift in his life. The dimensions were wrong, they had to grind parts of the steel supports to try and make the lift fit together. We are still without a lift - do NOT buy from or use this company. It has been the worst customer experience we have ever been through.
