B&E Asphalt

I hired B&E Asphalt to install a new hot mix asphalt driveway on 6/7/24. They were very responsive to all of my numerous questions through email and phone calls. The quoted price was very competitive. They prepped the site the day prior to the paving and helped me determine the layout of the drive. The team was friendly and professional. The driveway looks great!

B&E has done several driveways in our subdivision. I’ve heard nothing but positive comments from everyone. The process from quoting to completion on our driveway was very positive. The whole B&E team was professional and finished on time. I would highly recommend them for asphalt work.

Do not use this company!!!!! I wish I could give them zero stars. At first, we thought this company was great. They gave us a reasonable quote to pave our driveway and Bob was very nice to work with. However, once we gave them $1000 deposit, everything changed. They completely forgot about us. We had to prove to them we had a quote and had already paid a deposit. They had lost our contract. After we proved we were customers, they proceeded to lead us along about when they were coming. They said they would be there and we would take a day off of work and they would never show up. One day, I called at 10 and they told me they would call back in an hour with an estimate of when they were coming. At 11:30, they called and said they were in Nebraska and couldn't make it. You could have told me that at 10 or even the night before so I didn't miss a full day of work! You can't drive back to Wisconsin in a few hours. To top it off, when they finally came, they rushed our driveway and it is not done well. Not all areas were tamped down properly and our brand new driveway will need to be seal coated in the spring. Not only is it not tamped down well, they took the cones blocking off our driveway away only a few hours after it was completed and before it cooled. So, the amazon delivery driver had no idea he couldn't drive on it and left us some really great tire marks in our brand new driveway. Do not go with this company! They have terrible communication and terrible work. They will not treat you well and will not give you quality work.

Do not use B & E Asphalt. They are very unprofessional. Did not want to do the work quoted which started an argument. Very unprofessional behavior. I think we dodged a bullet by not having them pave our driveway as it would not have been quality work.

I had my business parking lot and driveway at home done by B&E and both were done very poorly. He swore up and down in the beginning about how his product would last so much longer than anyone else’s and how they take no shortcuts like the other guys. And what a lie that was!!! I was also treated terrible when I would call and ask when they were coming back to finish/fix the job I was quoted for and then even threatened by the owner, Bob himself as I sensed he was getting paranoid about receiving payment. He knew the job done by his kid was terrible, but still wasn’t willing to fix it. Cracks, large holes, patches not done correctly, peeling, etc. Everything looked awful. Would never recommend this business.
